The most common cause of the extra white page is because the printer is picking up more than 1 page of paper from the tray.

Either the paper is stuck together (you are supposed to fan a ream of paper when you put it in the tray because sometimes it sticks together in the packet)

or most likley:

The seperation pad inside the paper tray is wearing out and the pickup roller grabs 2 pages by mistake. You can change these parts for a few dollars and the problem will go away
