RICOH (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd has just launched its latest entry-level line of printers targeted at small businesses and home users.
The Aficio SP 100 e series, featuring three new printers – SP 100 e, SP 100SU e, and the SP 100SF e – will spearhead Ricoh’s new brand tagline of ‘imagine.change’.
“In line with Ricoh’s new brand tagline, Ricoh is moving forward with new ways of improving lives, be it for large corporations or small businesses to enable their work processes to become simpler and more effective,” said Ricoh (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd deputy managing director Samuel Ho.
The Aficio SP 100 e series offers compact black-and-white printers with a print speed of 13 pages per minute. Slim and extremely compact, all models in the series are portable standalones with a plug-and-play function that ensures convenience and mobility.
For those who only need a simple single-function printer, the SP 100 e is it. As for those who want a printer to do more than printing, there is the SP 100SU e – a multi-function printer that provides print, copy and scan functionality.
Meanwhile the SP 100SF e supports all three functions of the SP 100SU e with the addition of the latest G3 fax functionality.
All three models come with high-speed USB 2.0 connectivity and are designed to work with most Windows devices.
They are also some of the lightest and slimmest printers in their class and provide a low-cost alternative for customers with limited office space or are on the move.
The SP 100 e series is also equipped to make photocopies of identification cards (IC) without any hassle. The printers can print ICs on both sides on one page; you only need to flip the IC and click on the designated button without having to put the paper back into the feeder.
“Our new printers’ main attraction is that they are very compact and slim. The SP 100 SU e is about two-third the size of printers in the same range while the SP 100 SF e is one of the world’s slimmest four-in-one printers,” said Ricoh marketing department assistant general manager Lim Choon Weng.
He added that all the new models are covered with a year’s warranty and Ricoh has service centres stationed nationwide. If needed, the company will replace faulty printers in a heartbeat.
Ricoh Malaysia has also been going around on roadshows showcasing the SP 100 e series.
Currently, the roadshow teams are parked at campuses, namely Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (Utar) in Petaling Jaya and Universiti Tenaga Nasional (Uniten). They will be heading to Penang in the coming months.
The SP 100 e series is available at selected distributors in Malaysia with the Sp 100 e retailing at RM299, the SP 100SU e at RM499, and the SP 100SF e at RM699.
