Epson Launches Three New Printers for Wide-Format
Date: February 2, 2012
Long Beach, CA — Earlier this week, Epson America announced the debut of three new wide-format inkjet printers, the WF-7520, WF-7510 and WF-7010. The WF-7520 and 7510 are MFPs and the WF-7010 is single-function inkjet.
Epson has asserted that these models each represent the fastest print speeds in their respective classes. The new machines are capable of print speeds of up to 15 ISO ppm black and 8 ISO ppm for color, single-sided and 7.8 ISO ppm and 5.2 ISO ppm for two-sided output. The two multi-function models have scanning glass capable of handling input up to 11×17” in size, and all three models can print output up to 13×19”.
Both the WF-7520 and the WF-7510 are compatible with Epson’s mobile printing service, Epson Connect. As part of Epson Connect, users can email MS Office documents, photos, or PDFs to any printer equipped with an Email Print email address. In addition, users of Android and iOS smartphones and tablets can print to or scan from their Epson printer wirelessly on your local home or office network. The Epson WF-7010 does not have wireless printing, but does offer built-in Ethernet connectivity.
All three of the new wide-format units come standard with two, 250-sheet capacity paper trays and use Epson’s DURABrite ink. The two multi-functions have print resolutions up to 5760 x 1440 dpi and consume a reported 70% less power than laser units.
The three new printers are expected to be made available for purchase in early February 2012. The single-function WF-7010 will retail for $199.99, and the two multi-functions, the WF-7510 and 7520 for $249.99 and $299.99 respectively.
