Fire/EMS Grant Writting And Technology Training Offered By Knowella Technologies

PRLog (Press Release)Mar 02, 2012
Knowella Technologies will be conducting a 7day Fire and EMS Customer Service, Grant Writing and Technology Training class, August 5th thru August 11th, 2012, in Homer, Alaska.  This class will help prepare the foundation needed for Fire and EMS departments to correctly implement any successful Grant Writing Campaign.  Through their studies of awarded Grant Applications, Knowella Technologies has devised a class that will focus on specific key areas that can and will place any Grant Application in the best possible position to be awarded.  “For example, one of the biggest areas that is most commonly overlooked in the Grant Writing process is Customer Service/Community Support.  This needs to be recognized as a vital aspect of any departments job description and for their overall future,” said Peggy Morton, President of Knowella.

What makes this course so unique is the setting, Homer, Alaska, at the beautiful Lands End Resort.  This course includes 7 days of lodging, transportation to and from Anchorage and a couple “Alaska” activities for everyone, since Homer Alaska is the sport fishing capital of the world.  Knowella has chosen this location, because it has so much to offer from great Shopping, Whale Watching, Flight-seeing and according to Peggy, the ever popular Salty Dawg Bar and Grill.  Which I hear, is a must see for everyone.  What is also unique about this course is that training will be happening at times, without the knowledge of the participants.  The idea of hidden “mini lessons,” will keep class moving and fun, especially when dealing with dry subject matters.

Knowella has invited guest speaker Mr. Alan Bruacini, “The Grandfather of Customer Service for Fire Departments.”  Mr. Brunacini has penned several books on Customer Service for Fire Departments and had even brought his own Phoenix Department to new heights.   He believed then and even more so today, that the future of his department was dependent upon good customer service and great community support.  He showed the people of Phoenix, the value of a great Fire Department.  With Mr. Brunacini’s invaluable information, he will help guide your department on the right path of being indispensable, especially with the economy the way it is today.  In current economic times, every department is at risk of being replaced with lower cost, private companies, volunteers or being shut down altogether.  It does no good to apply for grants, if your departments’ budget is slashed due to poor customer service.  His presentation will help provide methodologies increasing overall customer service, community support and making any department an invaluable resource.

Also included in their 7 day training course, Knowella will have on hand a few vendor demonstrators, to give you a “hands on” look at the latest technologies.  In addition to the courses invaluable information, by being an attendee, Knowella is offering each department free Grant Writing Services for one full year.  Knowella is so confident in this grant writing process that when the training is completed, and the attendees make the improvements suggested during this course and also utilizing the free grant writing services provided which fails to receive any grants after the first year will be refunded the cost paid to Knowella Technologies for attending this class.

According to Knowella Technologies the total cost for attending the training is $2500 which includes 7 nights of lodging, 2 days of activities such as fishing, sightseeing, etc., transportation to and from Anchorage and one of grant writing services.  Each additional persons cost is $1000 but must share lodging with the first registered person otherwise the cost would also be $2500 if a private room is desired.  This course is limited in size, to register, go to, call 1-855-Knowella       (1-855-566-9355  ) or email
