I’ve been telling the story of fiber being able to hold 1000 times as many waves of light than we use now for a decade.
Back in the 1990’s experiments did just that. Multiple colors of laser light shot down a single fiber. I read one paragraph about it and was excited to see what the future could bring.
But who is doing this?
Today there’s reviews of TWO experiments to increase the number of signals in a fiber optic strand. Both appear viable, but not commercially feasible… at least so far.
