Océ JetStream 1900 printing system offers speed, versatility, minimal footprint

Océ, an international leader in digital document management and delivery, has extended its continuous feed portfolio with the launch of the new Océ JetStream 1900 printing system. This innovative printer is part of the Océ JetStream Compact series, offering highest versatility at minimal footprint.

Higher speed handles growing colour business

The new Océ JetStream 1900 system offers a printing speed of 127mpm in digital full colour. A member of the scalable Océ JetStream Compact series of high-volume duplex printers, the new system expands the range from two field upgradeable speed bands of 75 and 100, to even faster 127mpm, by increasing productivity by more than 25%.

This makes the Océ JetStream 1900, the high-end product of the Océ JetStream Compact series, the ideal solution for cost-effective personalised, full colour printing.

Performance, premium modes cut costs, raise quality

For print jobs with short production windows and tight cost constraints, the performance mode of the Océ JetStream 1900 operates at 127mpm (417fpm), which translates to 1 714 A4 (1 818 letter) images per minute, at 600 x 480 dpi resolution and multilevel dot modulation. For top quality requirements, the premium mode enables printing at 1 200 dpi perceived image quality with 100mpm (326fpm) or 1 350 A4 (1 428 letter) images per minute.

Transactional applications, direct mail documents and short-run newspapers are often characterised by tight production windows and very high peak loads. This is where the Océ JetStream 1900 reveals its strengths and economic advantages. For cost-effective production, the performance mode facilitates substantial ink savings. Users also benefit from the reliability, print quality and media range associated with the Océ JetStream family.

Océ JetStream 1900 addresses changing business needs

“The majority of print providers start with moderate digital print volume,” says Jaco Smit, DDS product manager at Océ South Africa. “They often need to invest in additional equipment to handle growing printing demands. With the Océ JetStream Compact series, customers can keep pace with changing business needs. This leads to a decisive investment protection of high volume digital print equipment.

“The Océ JetStream 1900 offers the highest level of scalability. And it unites the high quality and versatility of all Océ JetStream Compact series inkjet printers with the peak-load capacity of a high-volume printer. This makes the Océ JetStream 1900 the most complete continuous feed inkjet system in the market.”

Investment protection based on core technologies

All members of the Océ JetStream family, including the new high-speed Océ JetStream 1900, are based on core technologies such as the field-proven Océ DigiDot and the Océ SRA MP controller architecture.

The SRA MP is ideal for rigorous high-speed, full colour digital printing. This supports a clear growth path and compatible workflow across all Océ JetStream engines.
